Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute
Open Sessions
Friday, April 25 - 7:30 PM
Theme: The Magic Shop
Step right up! Come one! Come all! Welcome to the Magic Shop! Here you will find any trait, quality or characteristic that you wish you had or wish you had more of. All you have to do is name your desire and it can be yours. There is a catch. In order to get this desired quality, you have to trade in the characteristic or attribute that blocks you from having what you want. And, you have to convince the shopkeeper not only of its value but also of your willingness to give at least some of it up.
Evening of Psychodrama Open Sessions are 2 to 2 1/2 hour psychodrama sessions offered by certified psychodramatists to the general public. No experience necessary. You may participate as little or as much as you want.
Recommended Contribution: $20/$15 for students and those on limited income. All proceeds go to support Boughton Place. Boughton Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Receipts for tax purposes are available upon request. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT NEEDED.

A Mother Stands Still
Written and performed by Heather Dell'Amore
Directed by Samantha Jones
Saturday, May 10 - 7:00 PM
Got a mom you want to nudge toward self-reflection? Or forgiveness? Got a kid that’s teaching you to love the parts of you you’ve always hated? Got a Mother’s Day Brunch to go to on Sunday when really all you want is a night out with ya girls?
Then come see the show Hudson Valley’s favorite author calls, “profound, deeply moving.” Come see what a beloved marathon runner/kindergarten teacher compared to the inspiring work of Glennon Doyle! At the very least, come see me try to fit into jeans!!
A Mother Stands Still is a storytelling event about mothers, daughters, Madonna, and a certain pet detective.
Hope to laugh and cry with you then!

Directors Cut
Get ready for a high-energy, off-the-cuff comedy experience with Hudson Valley Improv’s Touring Company, directed by the fearless and funny Patrick Domery! In this one-of-a-kind show, the audience steps into the role of the film crew while the cast improvises scenes from a movie that’s being "edited" live by the director. With on-the-spot reshoots, dramatic cuts, and surprise scene changes, no two performances are ever the same. It's fast, it’s unpredictable, and it’s hilariously collaborative—because in this wild editing session, you help shape the movie as it unfolds!
