Boughton Place is home to the historic Moreno Stage, a stage that once hosted groups facilitated by the founder of psychodrama, Jacob L. Moreno. Several interesting workshops are available for aspiring psychodramatists and professionals pursuing continuing education credits. They also have monthly donation-based psychodrama open sessions. The space is clean, welcoming, and well maintained.
Super GREAT spot !! Lexi was so helpful and the Boughton place theater has quickly become one of our favorite venues ~ EXCELENT SOUND
Tom (Tiger) does a great job on the grounds and helping around the venue
Amazing spot for art and culture! Love Playback Theatre!
Escuela de psicodrama. Teatro psicodramático. Aquí se encuentra el escenario original que usaba JL Moreno
Translation to English: School of psychodrama. Psychodramatic theater. This is where the original stage used by J.L. Moreno is located.
Beautiful stage area and a great show
Stunning theatre, an ideal location between New Paltz, Poughkeepsie and the NYS Thruway; for an easy commute. I look forward to working with them every year and its been a seamless and easy process that's been a huge hit with our participants! Thank you for your gorgeous event space!
An absolutely quirky and inviting venue/location. One would be hard-pressed to find what Boughton has to offer for even double the price that they charge.
This is a nonprofit so keep that in mind, however you'll have access to a full stage, stage lighting, sleeping quarters, a kitchen, secondary rooms and more all along the rail trail as well!
From professional offices to event venues (we threw a huge Christmas Party there) there happens to be availability for all. In the summer you can walk through the grounds on various wooded paths as well.
If you're looking for a yoga retreat, public speaking venue, party location, or other gathering look here first. I'm not a shill for the location either, this spot is a pure gem that no one knows about in the Hudson Valley. It's like 3 mins from the Thruway as well, very easy to get to. Look here first and compare to other venues, you'll see.
Beautiful stage and a "campus" like a summer camp for grownups.
