A Letter from our President
Help restore our beloved Moreno Stage!
Dear Friends of Boughton Place,
For over 88 years, the Moreno Stage has provided a home for psychodrama, sociodrama and Playback Theater, in which participants have shared their stories, healed deep wounds and created community. Originally, it was located at the Moreno Institute in Beacon, NY, where people from all over the US and internationally gathered to learn psychodrama, initially under the guidance of JL and Zerka Moreno.
In 1986, the historic stage was moved to Highland, NY where it has been an integral part of the mission of Boughton Place, Inc. Over its many years of use, our stage is now in need of some care.
As stewards of this flagship stage, we have hired a renowned woodworker who is familiar with our stage and its rich history to make repairs which are going to cost approximately $15,000.
We are hoping the repairs will be completed in 2025.
At this time, we are asking for your generous donations to help repair this beloved stage, allowing it to continue for years to come to provide a home for psychodrama and its related fields, for people from all over the world to come together and experience the powers of these methods.
